We are the World, we are the Children
We are the ones which make a brighter day

Just You and Me

- We are the World -

This is the one part of the song called "We are the World" for Haiti. Meaning, help as you much as you can, small helps also counts, and that's your responisbility. But do you think many nations ARE RESPONSIBLE? Only few countries show their marcy but even they show tiny a bit which does not encourage victims around the world, struggling and endure their hunger. Why can't we help them? Even we are all equal human beings, just living in different condition, different nations. That's not fair. When I have a chance to create a New World, I hope for One big World, which mean is that there is no over 200 nations but only 1 that shows all the people are equal, and have a right to get help from the others when they need.

People around the world doesn't care others, only themselves. Why? One reason can be such as bad memory with them. When you get educated and learn the history about your country, most of countries or maybe all the countries around the world will have a history of getting conqured by others, or have a serious war. Then that makes all the people in that nation in anger to make revenge. For example, just like North and South Korea, because they fought few years ago, and still can't see the end of it, we both avoid to make a peace. However, now we need to help the north, but because we have a bad memory, we are hesitating ourselves to do it.

Thinking that they will not have any benefit of helping others can be another reason. Many countries will think why should I help them, even they are not my citizen. We are just giving our food for free, and we are still not a good position to do that. That's what most countries living in the same world think. I might also feel same way of losing my food supply for giving others free. Then guess how many countries do help poor people. Not much. However, if we are altogether, we don't need to think about any benefits because we are the one, we are the world.

I feel one day my hope might come true by thinking about European Union. They became one to use same unit of money in Europe and that's much easier than changing to another to travel countries next to you. In addition, there is no national boundaries so everyone can go anywhere without permission of each countries. Furthermore, you can get along with different types of people. Just think about it. More benefits will come for you. It's more simple to get connect each other, and help them without tension between you and I, actually we don't need to be.
